Did you know?
This group of sculptures by Melvin Charney comprises three towers and a series of streams spanned by seven small bridges. These architectural and landscape elements are integrated into Place Émilie-Gamelin in a composition reminiscent of the landscape elements that characterize the city – its architecture, Mount Royal, flatlands, rivers. While the sculptures represent downtown skyscrapers, the streams evoke the underground waterways that flow naturally from the mountain to the St. Lawrence.
